The income we are getting can be just enough or far from enough. Sometimes we have a few extra hours in the day to get a few more dollars coming in. Having just a limited amount of time to make extra money can mean a big pool of job and gigs paying pennies on the dollar

Nina and Violet were friends more so like sisters Nina a single mom with 2 kids and Violet married with 3 kids, met a years back and had been thick as thieves ever since

Nina was like most had a job but it just wasn’t quite cutting the mustard. She had debt haunting her dreams and her children were getting older requiring more money for different child adventures.

Recently Nina’s children began a steady schedule of going to their grandparents for the weekends. This gave Nina an extra 20 hrs a week she could use, to bring in some extra money every month. An extra $1k per month would give Nina the breathing room she needed, away from financial worries and stress.

Nina began to search in every place she could, for a new side hustle or part time job. She jotted down now hiring numbers and websites, she trolled craigslist and indeed. High and low she searched for anything that she could give 20 hrs and earn at least an extra $1k per month.

In her hunt, Nina started to notice a trend in her side job results, with only having 20 hrs, on the weekends only, everything she was coming across was only paying $13 an hour if she was lucky, after taxes that just wasn’t enough.

Nina felt a bit bummed out after her revelation.

One Saturday while sulking on the couch, Nina’s phone rang. It was violet inviting Nina out for Kava shots, to decompress from her fruitless part time job search.

Nina agreed because she knew the Kava would help with her stress,even if only physically. She was in need of a break so she agreed. Violet also told Nina she had some good news to share with her, so it was kind of a celebration. Nina wasn’t feeling festive, but couldn’t turn down free Kava when her budget was so tight.

After they had got down a few shells, Violet and Nina sat together in one of the Kava bars booths. Violet said to Nina “OK, so time for the good news! Girl, I have found the answer to your problems!”

Nina just sat and stared. Violet tapped Nina’s hand which was resting on the table. “Did you hear me Nina? I found the answer ,” Nina replied “I’m waiting for you to finish”

Violet continued “So , first let me say let me get all the way through, no matter how it starts. Second, I tested it first”

“OK ,so you know when you go to the grocery store and you see the people giving out all the samples?” “Yes, ” Nina replied. Violet continued “well that’s it! You just give out samples of mostly food. It pays $20 to $22.50 per hour. I’m making $1600 to $2k just working weekends! The coolest thing is, it’s an app. You download, answer a few questions, and you start booking gigs near you. Talk about easy money
